Aquarium

March 24, 2011

Over Spring Break, we finally had a chance to use our Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa - our pass to the aquarium!  It was a little busy - I guess everyone else had the same idea for Spring Break.  But we had a good time.  Of course, the first place the boys wanted to go was to the shark tank.

We walked through the rainforest room and saw these two birds.  Adam said they were holding hands.  :)

Butterflies were flying all over the place, divebombing people and flying in front of our faces.  One decided to get comfortable and landed on my behind!  It sat there for so long that Daniel was able to grab the camera and take a picture!

Sarah enjoyed being escorted around.

Checking out all the creatures in the rainforest room.

After having some lunch and watching the dolphin show, we went to see the 4D movie, "Dora and Diego chase the robot butterfly" or something like that.  Everyone was excited about their glasses!

The boys had been to a 4D movie during the Olympics but Adam was still pretty shocked when his seat started moving and he was sprayed with water!  He jumped into my lap and spent the rest of the movie cuddled there with Sarah.

On to the children's play area.

Future vets in training?

Next we went to watch the dolphins under water, after seeing their highflying show above ground.

Checking out the jellyfish and sea anemones.

This was probably Sarah's favourite part - the sea otters!

They all loved the sea otters.

The kids were really good wandering around the aquarium and didn't stress their mom out too much by running away or anything!  We're looking forward to a year of fun visits!
