Happy 6th Birthday, Daniel!

Where has the time gone?  Daniel is 6!  Loving grade 1, learning to read, loving soccer...he's not our little baby anymore.  He is such a fun kid, usually pretty easy-going, social butterfly.  He's becoming quite the ladies man - all the girls at school love to chase him around the playground!  He doesn't complain much, either.  :)  And we're so proud of all the new things he's learning - it's amazing to hear him read compared to what he knew at the beginning of September.

To celebrate Daniel's 6th birthday, the family went to Science World to see the dinosaur exhibit.  The boys LOVE Science World - they get that from their father.  :)  They could spend hours trying out all the experiments and figuring things out.  Although a lot of it was over Sarah's head, she really enjoyed herself, too.

Adam trying out some wheelchair racing.

Daniel's figuring out how to downhill ski.

Sarah loved this thing.  If you put both hands on the metal hands, it completed a circuit and resulted in this extremely annoying, high pitched whistle.  She could have played with this for hours but my ears couldn't handle it!

Fun with an air blowing machine.

Dinosaurs!

Post-Science World ice cream stop at McDonald's.

Daniel's actual birthday was a bit more low-key - presents from Adam and Sarah, cupcakes at school and pancakes for dinner.

On Sunday, Daniel had his birthday party.  He insisted it had to be a Beyblade party.  Beyblades are kind of like glorified tops.  The kids "battle" against each other's Beyblades and see which Beyblade spins the longest.  They were all SO into it!  The kids had a tournement against each other and spent the rest of the party playing with the toys upstairs and eating pizza.

Daniel certainly is a popular kid - eleven kids came to his party!  I think everyone had a fun, crazy and wild time!
