Spiderman and his sidekick

Today the boys and I headed out in the beautiful weather to go to the wading pool. We hadn't been to this park before and they had a great time. Before we got there, Daniel had to go to speech therapy. He was thrilled to see Shauna (his speech therapist, who he has a bit of a crush on) and Jessica (Shauna's practicum student). Daniel was in his glories to have these two young women give him their full attention! :) He did a great job during his hour there and learned to say the k sound all by himself! They started by holding his tongue down with a tongue depressor, so he could learn to use the back of his tongue instead of the front. By the end of the hour, he was saying ka, kee, koh, koo and kigh properly, all by himself! He can't say the k sound in any words yet, but he's doing so well!

Then we went to the wading pool, where we met up with some neighbours. The boys had fun splashing around in the pool, although it was a little cold for Adam. Just before we left, the parks and rec leader brought out the face painting stuff. Daniel really wanted his face painted so we headed over there. Guess what he decided on?

Spiderman! What a surprise! Adam wasn't too picky, so he got a spider so he could be Spiderman's sidekick.

And here's what our two superheroes looked like less than 30 minutes later, after a busy morning.
